ABOUT US

OUR MISSION
We are a multi-cultural church discipling, sending, and sourcing God’s mission from Uganda, the source of the Nile, for God’s glory, for our good, and for blessing of the nations.
OUR VISION
The River of Life flowing from the throne of God, bringing His blessing and life to the nations: “everything will live where the river flows.” (Ezekiel 47:9)

WHAT MAKES US, US
DISCIPLESHIP DRIVEN
We create opportunities to grow faith in each other: home groups, mission discipleship classes, Y.E.S. for young people, The Well for children, and Q-and-A sessions after sermons.
GROWING FAMILIES AND GROWING LEADERS
We are a church family growing together, from our discipleship classes to our Jesus-focused teaching in our children & youth ministries. We focus on growing and equipping leaders for God’s mission through the African church, rather than growing and reproducing our own church.
TAKING THE WORD TO HEART & INTO LIFE
We value clear, consistent, Biblical teaching. We also memorize scripture, have panel discussions and interviews on biblical topics, and Q & A sessions after sermons – bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ from our head, into our hearts, and into how we live our lives.
GLOBALLY MINDED & LOCALLY GROUNDED
We are a cross-cultural community of believers from around the world who call Kampala home, who love Africa and believe that God has great things in store for Uganda and this continent.
MISSION FOCUSSED
We disciple our members and network with others for a mission movement from Uganda, and we give 20% of our income to bring the Good News from Uganda to the nations.
KEEPING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS & CHURCH UNITY
We are a part of the global Body of Christ and we take Jesus’ prayer for unity in His church seriously. This is why we celebrate and learn from other churches and Christian traditions, while standing firm on what we all share together - the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
As an evangelical church committed to God's global mission, we affirm historic Christian beliefs in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds, and embrace the Lausanne Covenant.

TOPIC SUNDAYS

Wondering about something? Not sure what the Bible says or a Christian should think about it? Put your question or thoughts in our “suggested topics” box! Through panels of experts, discussions, visiting speakers, group Bible studies, and even videos, we look into the Bible to see what God has to say about the topic.
BIBLICAL
FEASTS

While we live under Christ’s grace and are free from the law, we find joy in remembering God's works by celebrating the Lord's Supper and some biblical feasts! We do not keep a strict Christian calendar or religiously keep the Old Testament feasts, because we live under the grace and freedom of Christ and have been set free from the law (Romans 7.4-6). But David also writes that “I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done” (Psalm 143.5). Along with David, we enjoy remembering all the God has done for us by celebrating the Lord’s Supper and celebrating our Lord through some of the feasts in the Bible:

BIBLE
MEMORY
We love to find creative ways to cement God’s word in our hearts, with Bible-memory games, puzzles, and tournaments to award our “Golden Bible” trophy to the winning team
